A sail boat - carrying the sands from the river banks for sale in the construction material market. Government contracts out parts of the river bank every year. 

The Arts faculty - Senate Hall. Spellbinding, mesmerizing even after so many years. Just trying to imagine the awe that people would have felt when they were constructed a 100 years ago. 

Anand Bhavan - Indira Gandhi donated this patch of land measuring 26K sq mts. Amazing lawns, specially in the winters. Beautiful building completely restored and maintained.

The Science faculty of Allahabad University - The city was once the Civil Services mecca of the country is now trying to reassert itself through dirty politics at the university level elections. Our visit coincided with the Allahabad University elections. 

Technology meets the tradition - the 2 communication towers at the far end keep a sharp eye on the rivers and the bathing platform 

The Colour Changes - The Muddy brown waters of Ganga meet the Greenish waters of Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati. After being here I felt the same energy that leads a country of a billion plus people to worship them and the power that they wield on the nations psyche.
